A WIP shot of some used minis I'm restoring to form an Impetus army, that will hopefully appear in a future Wargames, Soldeirs and Strategy.
In the front, on the traditional Jenga painting blocks, are some pieces of Roman battlefield debris from 1stCorps, which has bags of character and which I'd heartily recommend for collectors of smaller 28mm minis, such as Foundry, Gripping Beast and Warlord. A nice company, 1stCorps.
Note to self: basing colour was a mix of SLD and brown umber as the base coat, with a wash of dark brown ink in Klear wash, then SLD as the highlight.

Terrific to see you getting something together for Impetus. It's a great game.

I'm sure you Will make some stunning Impetus bases. Hope they make it to WSS!
Best regards Michael
These are going to look ACE on some nice Impetus bases.
The shields art is excellent.
Thanks- I started to base them last night, and they do look fabulous. Unfortunately I had better save the "finished" photo for the magazine.
The shield transfers are the old Foundry ones, poorly applied but covered with lots of gunk, which covers a multitude of sins!
In a few month's time I shall need to find someone to show me how Impetus works.
They look lovely...and as Firemonkeyboy has said, Impetus is a great System.
Looking good and I agree with Firemonkeyboy and paul's bods Impetus is a great system.
Cheers, Ross
Impetus is my favourite rule set for non-skirmish Ancient and Medieval wargaming and I'm happy to see you are choosing to take an interest and give it some exposure. Looking forward to seeing your army in WSS!
Christopher
Clearly a lot of you playing Impetus out there! :-)
Look forward to seeing how you base these and the debris up.
Cheers,
Pat.
