The painting tray is overflowing with chariots. My plan is for a first wave of 9, but I want to go to eventually muster 20 or so. Most of the crews have gone off to Nick to be painted (he'll do a far better job with plaid than could I).
In the foreground are the chariot horses, which I hope will be fairly quick to paint... and I need to finish basing the cohort of Dalmatians on the front left, to clear a bit of space!

Plenty to be getting on with there! Interested to see how you paint the horses.
On Darrell H's blog there was a good example of the "Darren Harding Method" (tm) using washes and drybrushing.
I find painting horses a bit of a challenge - which I'll need to overcome if I'm to get my Normans up and running!

That should keep you busy for a while. Be an impressive sight when they are finished.

Hi Matt, I usually highlight and then hit with Army Painter- I hope that the AP spray undercoats will help save painting time.
Paul, yes quite a job, but a friend will paint the crew, so "do-able".

Chariots have arrived safely! There is a lot of bare metal to contemplate!
Glad they made it OK, Stephen. I'm sorry there isn't more variety in the crew figures; I'l show you what I'm doing with the Wargames Factory minis, which might make for some variety.
