Assorted Ballistae

Just in case you thought I'd emigrated, I've finished the various warmachines and their bases , but not the crew and accessories which need around another week...

In other news; some very pretty miniatures just arrived from Aventine, mostly intended to join my Romans.  And I did something madly impulsive on eBay this week, that I will probably be regretting in a day or so... Simon goes plastic!

Thanks Dean, they are pretty sophisticated; magnetic basing on the bottom, a layer of tinplate for strength and then the coffee stirrers.

I love how coffee stirrers are so... available. I find myself wondering how many coffee stirrers would be required to build a camp for 2 x 240 man legions. Or the Caesar's bridge over the Rhine...

Matt I'm yet to finish mine! I've lots more planned.

Incidently they are on planks, so I can put them into towers (except for the onagers which are too big).
