I received an email yesterday evening which advised me that I've been awarded my MSc. in Human Resource Development and Consultancy, from Birkbeck College, with a Merit! Huzzah!
Hi Simon, the painting is getting there; should be finished the third legion by the end of the month. That gives me February and March to complete the lot before we run the equivalent of a Battle Day here. Once that's done, I'll paint up some casualty markers and cavalry - the plan is to give the game a few outings over the course of 2010. It will be interesting to see what next year's battle will be.
In Muswell Hill, eh, Up North. I used to play games with a mate who lived in Golders Green. I lived in Boston Manor for years before moving out to Kent.
Hi Keith, I spend most of the day thinking about minis, and most of the night painting them! I'm looking out for a day job at the mo, though, which I need to keep me in lead.
BTW someone (the Ed?) has stuck me/us on the front page of TMP:
Congratulations, your mastership!
ReplyDeleteI recieved an email yesterday that said I'd won $5 Million on the Nigerian lottery.... Methinks your email was better.
ReplyDeleteConratulations.
Thanks guys! Am feeling slightly smug. Would be feeling more smug if I had a job.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Simon: with merit, no less. I'll buy you a virtual drink, and then drink it for you or something...
ReplyDeletePaul
Cheers Paul! I'll raise that virtual pint glass in a toast! How's that painting coming on?
ReplyDeleteCongrats and Tulations.

ReplyDeleteSounds like good progress.
ReplyDeleteFAR to soon to worry about next year! I'll want to do something less ambitious next year. :-)
Congratulations. Birbeck is a great college.

Hi John, yes Golders Green is just up the road. Not a lot of gamers around here, though; we are a very exclusive outfit!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! With your degree finished, now you'll have more time to paint figures!
ReplyDeleteYes, so you do work. Now there's me thinking that you spent allday painting and organising your troops.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
Keith
Thanks AJ!
