Greg's elephant is very spectacular, and he's done a lot of conversion work on the piece, giving it a squashed tower, padding and a chain headpiece. Luvverly work!
There are some more pics, and progress pics, on Greg's Gloarmy blog, which is always worth a visit.
I got a sneak peek at this beauty a couple of days ago, a true master class here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Secundus; he's good, that Greg! Very imaginative, and bold, too.
ReplyDeleteHi too, vG!
Absolutely fantastic, it is as if, it has just happened and the dust has barely settled!
ReplyDeleteThat is one huge talent
Your base model was brilliant and your friend has gone the extra mile to show it off to its best potential
Wow
You're all extremely talented. I'm surprised at the great variety of stands you're all making from a single model. The padding on this one is great and the smashed howda is brilliant. Well done.
ReplyDeleteTop stuff. Love the smashed howdah.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the painter / modeller - class work.
Just thinking - a great finishing touch could have been a Carthaginian poking his head out of the wreckage!
ReplyDelete"What the hell was THAT!?"
Beautiful work; so realistically portrayed its a harsh reminder of the reality of war - even more so than depictions of human casualties. Dean
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great cooperative project! You can really picture the impact with this one.
ReplyDeleteMan thats one dead elephant looks great.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I shall pass various appreciations to Greg...
