White Figures on a White Background

Yesterday morning I found myself out in the back garden, standing in the snow, getting ready to prime some figures white.  This reminded me of another time, earlier this year, when I was out in the garden at night, priming figures black!

I try not to think about the time I varnished some minis in the rain.  ;-)

Just in case I don't get the chance again before the 25th (but I probably will as I'm an obsessive blogger), I'd like to wish everyone a Very Merry Xmas!

  1. The weather is a fickle mistress... especially when you HAVE to spray basecoat or varnish your models. I've spent many an evening freezing my **** off in pursuit of my hobby. Joy.

  2. Hi Biglee, sometimes that need to have minis ready primed means that I dive out in dreadful conditions; dawn, or 10pm.

However I don't like to prime minis I wont paint in the next few days; there is no sadder sight than a mini primed 18 months ago, with the undercoat gradually being chipped away...

  3. We have to worry about the sea coming to join us for a party here in the states in Florida. We do not have to worry so much about snow but to us anything under 20 Calvin is cold.

  9. Hi Simon; and a Merry Xmas to you, too! I always enjoy your cartoons. Hopefully we'll meet up at Salute or I might lure you to Bletchley for the SOA day in April?

    Cheers, Simon
